Hello- If HSG showing multiple "filling defects" in uterine cavity These represent numerous endometrial polyps. It can affect your pregnancy expectations in a negative way. This is not a good time for IUI as it might not be successful. Yes the condition can be cured by medications or surgery (if the polyps are larger in size.)

It's a difficult situation. Filling defect in uterus may result from a previous D n C done for abortion and if no spillage is seen from both the tubes it means the tubes r blocked. Can repeat hsg once more to confirm bcoz sometimes tubal blockage can b just a tubal spasm. If repeat hsg also shows same, then it wud b difficult for her to conceive normally or thru IUI. Consult an IVF clinic for that.
