Hello, I have done my root canal and crowning of my molars on february 2016. Since then I do not hsve any issue in taking hot or cold food. But from may onwards when I take hot meals, I get a sensitive ache on my crowned tooth. I do not have any problem with cold food. The dentist who had done the crowning of ceramic tooth told that the tooth will be having a warranty upto 10 years. What is the problem? Root canal is perfectly done by an expert.

Most probably it must be some adjacent teeth because as you say, it is root canal treated, it implies that your teeth nerves were cleaned and hence you should not be having sensation in that particular teeth. I suggest please see your dentist again for diagnosis and get it treated before condition worsens.

Hello, once Root canal treatment is done there is no nerve left inside so there is no sensitivity to tooth. It could be because of adjacent teeth, get it checked from a dentist.

Hi lybrate-user, brother you definitely have a problem in your root canal treatment, probably there is some canal that has been missed or there is some pulp tissue left in canal. I would recommend you to get re rct done to save the tooth or otherwise you can just get it removed.
