Hi From past one day I have found my throat to be swollen. I am not a regular smoker and neither alcoholic. In a month 12 cigarettes and at times alcohol. So can this be a sign of throat cancer or just a throat infection due to excessive cold food intake? Please guide me for next steps as in where to approach to get checked for the same. Or shall I wait week and see whether that swollen throat goes or not?

You can wait for 2-3 days, do hot water gargling with salt,3-4 times a day,take plenty of plain water,avoid smoking-alcohol,spicy food,cold beverages ,throat swelling is not the sign of cancer
