Hi Doctor, We are married for 2 years and trying for last 10 months. We got tested and my husband is suffering from oligospermia due to bilateral mild grade 1 varicocele. He took 2 sperm test in the span of 1 month. 1st - 2 days of abstinence Sperm count - 3 mil Motility - grade III 2nd - 4 days abstinence Sperm count - 8 mil Motility - 10 % progressive 20% non progressive And rest immotile The urologist was not very informative about next steps and said if we want the surgery we can go for it. He didn't have any opinions of his own. We are really confused. Husband have been prescribed cozim 10q, Evion and Siphene 1 tablet each every day in morning. And cold compression every day. And test again after 3 months. We want to conceive desperately. Please help what should we do? Will surgery help as I hear varicocele gets bad with time and further reduce chances of pregnancy? I am 26 and husband 30. Any other suggestion or lifestyle changes that can help us too?
