I was being hurt in the gym while bench pressing. My left shoulder was paining initially 7 days. The doctor Gave me muscle relaxant n the pain was gone but popping sounds from the same shoulder is continuous. Once in a while doing some movement my shoulder gives me pinching sensation n I can't make flexible movements. But after rotating shoulder n doing some exercises for 5 secs rhe pain is gone wishing 5 secs. I asked doctor for an x ray he told me you can do x ray but results will show up normal. N the results were normal. please suggest me some exercises or medications. Really hoping that doctors here would help me plz.

Good evening might be you got hurt in your anterior part of shoulder avoiding to your down mode of injury. It's soft tissue injury and it will not show any changes in your x Ray, it will remain normal. Better avoid the exercise which aggravate your pain. Avoid bench press, for a week workout only on the muscles which are not aggravating your pain. So that your healing process should be accelerated, is you stop exercise your healing process will be slower. Workout on surrounding muscles with proper adulation angulation keeping in mind about your injury. Use machines instead of free weight (dumbbells and barbells). Do isometric contraction of your anterior, lateral and posterior fibers of deltoid to do muscle setting and do proper stretching. When you start workout for your chest, while doing bench press avoid bringing dumbbell and barbell lower to your chest, it should not stretch your chest muscle completely, avoid it to bring till end range, stop it some degree prior to the end range to avoid stress on your shoulder. It's just theoretical treatment on your given information, better do exercise under physiotherapist who have better knowledge about strength training anatomy and bio mechanics, he'll help you do corrections and show your preventive measures to avoid exercise injuries.
