Muscle Cramps Health Feed

Hi doctors my name is lucky. I am 26 years old man. From past 20 days I am facing problem in moving wrist properly. When I move it, on some angle the muscle gets pain and movement get affected. After some days it has started on other wrist also. I went to doctor he gave allopurinol and pain killer as I have uric acid problem. But now 10 days has passed and things are not changed. Kindly tell me what could be the reason behind it. What should I do. My weight is 120 kg. Is it due to uric acid. But I tested it was normal 4.5. Then what could be the reason.

Overuse, tension and injury are the common cause of muscle pain and intense but infrequent physical exertion often wreaks its revenge the following day. But sore, stiff muscles respond well to a bit of traditional wisdom.

Aching muscles are unpleasant but usually harmless and tend to ease after a few days. Heat application may alleviate the pain. However, muscle cramps can be due to circulatory disorders or mineral deficiency. So consult the doctor if pain persists. 

Common symptoms of muscle pain -

Yes you can add good diet good amount of fluid and exercise as well. Keep in touch of orthopaedic surgeon at regular intervals.

Since when are you having this problem. Do check your thyroid profile, cbc, blood sugar fasting from some lab. Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Worst muscle cramp on left leg, vitamin d: 9.4/150, not able to sleep at night it's been 3-4 months, mouth ulcer, whenever lies on bed at night, have to rush to the toilet 3-4 times with the gap of an hour, suffering with extreme depression, severe anaemia. Kindly suggest a remedy!

1.no alcohol 2. Reduce body wt if over wt 3. No smoking 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. Social support from friends and family members 9. Exposeur body to sun for 15-20 mts daily after some oil massage to get vit d. Medicine can not be advised for open question, for medicine and further contact on private good luck.

I've literally done nothing but sit in my room and binge things all quarantine, but now my muscles (mostly upper leg) started cramping when I woke up this morning. Do I need to see an actual doctor or will it stop hurting over time?

Hi, Lybrate user. You should not worry. These all are due to stress. In this covid19 pandemic situation many people are suffering from same situation. Do something like morning walk / excercise. Eat healthy diet in routine. Don't skip. You should make busy in something like study or any work as far as possible. I wish you will feel better soon. Thank you.

It may be due to weakness of muscles. Or there may be some nerve problem. For better diagnosis please describe your problem in detail. You can chat or call me for right exercise program for it. Till than I am telling you some general exercises for it. Ankle movements, knee flexion extention exercise, slr exercise, shoulder flexion and abduction. Do all these 10 moves each, thrice a day. Don't over strech or over stress.
