Hi Lybrate User, Running/Jogging anywhere is a good exercise. Running on Treadmill for 30 mins at a speed of 8 kmph will burn approx 250-300 calories. Walking for One hour burns 250-300 calories. It is a good form of exercise. It helps in building leg muscles, joints and bones. There are lots of myths about treadmills injuries etc. They are not true. Treadmill is safe. Always warm up for 10 mins before doing any exercises.
