Hi lybrate-user bajoriya, 1 go for body composition analysis -- increased body fat and decreased muscles in the body will lead to lowering of bmr. 2 check for thyroid function -- hypothyroidism is chief culprit. 3 increase activity level. 4 go for whole foods that are plant based -- whole grains, vegetables, fruits, lentils, beans and grams. 5 drink a lot of water -- drinking adequate and in fact liberally water itself can help keep bmr high. 6 certain herbs and spices (that we indians use regularly in the kitchen cooking) help keep bmr high. 7 go for whole body check up if the bmr still stays low.
