Hello Doctor I am 31 years old and I am very fat. I have lot of cravings for sweets. I can't control it and I love to eat a sweet or junk food all the time. Is there any lack of nutrition in my body? I want to avoid this but can't control the cravings. Please suggest any nutritional food so that my cravings are stopped.

Hi Craving for sweets happens due to lack of other interests, hobbies. Firstly recognise that it is okay to like sweets. Don't feel guilty about it. Next is remove all sweets from your home. If you feel any craving you can chew sounf or fennel seeds. Even if you want to have it. Take one piece a day and eat it slowly, very slowly, mindfully. Also eat other food this way. Take a piece of roti and keep it in your mouth. Chew it slowly for five minutes. You will discover sweetness in that too. Start an exercise or aerobics or Yoga program. When you start exercising your attention will get diverted.
