My mother aged 41 years is suffering from a mental disorder as she get extremely worried about cleanliness of household she use to do a lot of cleaning and washing floor household things and even her hands feet etc just if she get touched to any untidy things. On asking she replies that she doesn't satisfied with normal cleanliness .please help me whether it is a mental disorder or not and if it is then what is the solution?

This symptoms are related to obsessive compulsive disorder. Repeated cleaning spend most of the time on one activity it is related to psychological disorder. Better to consult psychologist. She needs cognitive behaviour therapy. The therapist analyse the behaviour and helps to change her behaviour. If it is activated in therapy. She also tune to therapy. Then the problem will be rectified. But it takes too much time wait up to result. Do not go to any medicine. It will give side effects. Better to consult psychologist in your nearest place.
