A baby lizard fell into the overhead plastic water (non-potable) tank located on the terrace of my house. After few minutes, it swam, and came out of the tank. Has the water got contaminated with poison or not? What should we do in such scenarios?

No its not poisonous because it didn't got dead in it and even not there for hours. And even if your are doubtful then drain all the water from your tank, clean it and refill it. But always use boiled water or filtered water for drinking and cooking and properly close your overhead water tank.
