Dilatation of aorta do not produce symptoms. As they enlarge, symptoms such as abdominal pain and back pain may develop. Compression of nerve roots may cause leg pain or numbness. To prevent the dilatation - * monitor your blood pressure regularly & in the case of hypertension, take the treatment of hypertension. *quite smoking * monitor cholesterol level & take low fat diet. * investigate ultrasound scan over the age of 65.
