For the last 1 to 2 years black spots started appearing on the tongue which sometimes have burning sensation. Now the new spots are emerging first they are red latter on change to black taking fluconazole tablet and candid mouth paint for the last 6 months but no sign of improvement but now notice the spots are increasing female 42 years of age.

Hi, stop taking fluconazole and candid mouth paint. These are used to treat fungal infection of mouth. Black spots on tongue are not a sign of fungal infection, so stop taking wrong medicines. Hello . Seems like fungal infection only. But why is it burning? get back to me with the photographs of the lesion. If possible also try taking tablet clindatime 300 four times a day for five days.
