Heyy I suffered from pain in my filling tooth I think I got ipc done in that tooth. But few days back after biting candy I started to feel a light ache. So I went to dentist and he says the tooth is absolutely fine he took a xray and a little pdl widening can be seen. Can someone help me how to get rid of this pain or do you think the pan could be because of different reason.

Ipc done in a tooth should stimulate the formation of secondary tooth tissue which will be evident on radiograph by 3 months and if there is no barrier formation then chances of pulpal infection are more and pdl widening is an indication of this, if it wasn't there before. The tooth pulp may undergo slow degenerative process leading to the increase in the amount of infection, which may be a cause of concern but your dentist will observe your tooth closely to tell the right time to intervene for further treatment options available.
