My wife is suffering from Diabetes. First detected 11 years ago when she was pregnant. After a Child Birth she is completely normal. But since last 3-4 years again she has this problem. Her HBA1C is 12.5%. She is not taking Insulin. Presently is taking "Glymipride-2 mg-BD. But it is not in control. Pls. Suggest some medicine which is affordable for us and Diabetes should be in control.

I would suggest to go to a good doctor. Insulin will not harm her in any way in fact it will control her sugar levels. With regular insulin and proper diet where she should divide her meals in 4-6, times a day.
