Hi I started working out since last 2 months. This time also i'm doing cardio workouts and intensified it to moderate level. I burn 1200-1500 calories in gym and 500 at work daily. I measured all of it daily. Today I checked my resting bpm sitting or lying on my bed after workout and it's shockingly 165bpm. Why? I lost weight and 70 kgs right now and sweating a lot which is a good sign. But before joining gym, my bpm always used to be between 69-80. Why did it rise after working on weights and cardio fitness. Txs.

Hiii, as you mention rise in heart rate after excercise upto 165 bpm which is absolutely fine. Because during exercise your body tissues require more oxygen for which your heart has to pump more blood. So thats why your heart rate increases in response to oxygen requirement of tissue of your body. When we are resting our heart rate also drops. For further information you can text in private.
