My wife 33 weeks pregnant she is feeling bit of itching in her lower abdomen n sides of her private part on her legs. Is this is common symptoms of pregnancy?

It can be due to fungal infection or stretching of the skin causing irritation and first we should diagnose the lesion and than plan treatment accordingly.

In pregnancy because of pressure by uterus to abdominal organs there is slow absorption of bile called chole stasis n becoz of that there is itching this is one of the cause but it may be poor hygiene n any other skin infection it will go after delivery or you can take mild anti allergies or apply lacto calamine lotion.

during pregnancy in later stages its common feature in lower abdomen and inner parts of private parts and thighs, therefore you make it clean with lukewarm water, dry it and apply some soothing cream or lotion such as lecto calamine and take anti allergic tab levocetrizine 5 mg once a day. This is due to low level of calcium in blood, r you taking calcium supplement or not, if not than take calcarea phos 6x/ 4 tab 3 times a day.
