What are the changes to get rabies from kissing a human? The guy also bit my lip and it was bleeding a little bit. The bacteria is that he was just bitten by a stray cat and we sent him to get the first rabies shot done. But we were in a vacation so he came right back and we kissed a lot that night. The bite was small and on the back of his hand. I also finished the rabbies shots 2 months ago because of a dog who was?t actually rabid by the end of my shots course but I decided to finish them anyway.

It appears you have completed full course of 5 doses 2 months prior to recent episode. Vaccine course normally gives immunity for one year after the course. However if available antibody titre for vaccine is tested. If above 0.5 iu/ml, 2 injections are advised days 0 and 3. But if antibody test is not available three doses are recommended 0. 3 and 7.in my opinion three points are relevant and important. 1. Rabies has no treatment 2. Bite was by stray cat. 3. There has been damage to lips resulting in bleeding. Hence no chances are taken.
