Summer heat & humidity cause lot of fluid & electrolytes from our body leaving us dehydrated, tired & weak. It is thus necessary to keep ourselves well hydrated to keep or body cool. 3 litres water daily is a must in summer season. Other fluids like coconut water, buttermilk, lassi, lemonade, fresh fruit juice, cold soups, vegetable juice should also be included. Vegetables & fruits with high water content should be consumed in higher amounts- ex: cucumber, watermelon. Avoid fried & spicy foods as these further generate more heat & are very difficult to digest.
