I got a dog bite from my pet dog. I was just playing with her and she accidentally bites me. The bite is not much of severe nature and also there is no pain on wound. The dog is not vaccinated with a single vaccine even. Should I go for a rabies vaccine?

Yes of course, if dog not vaccinated, you should go for vaccination today or as soon as possible, because after disease (rabies) no treatment available.

Dear lybrate-user there is no cure for rabies, only way is prevention by taking rabies vaccination. Kindly vaccinate with 5 doses day 1, 3, 7, 14, 28. Human rabies immunoglobulin should also be taken as dog in not vaccinated. Kindly go to your nearest doctor and he will do the needful thankyou.
