I am 19 year old teen im having this extremely itchy skin since the last few months. These itches cause bumps on my skin but the itching doesn't stop even after half an hour. My mom was recommended this medicine atarax 50 mg but even half of the medicine puts me to sleep and makes my eyes heavy for three days. Can you suggest what is this and how can I cure it?

You are in contact with some allergen either in diet or on the skin surface since last 2 months. Try to establish some relationship between your diet contents and appearance of rash and bumps. Also try to make list of all the things in body contact including your clothes, soap, oil, creams, powder, linen, towel, etc and see if there is anything changed during last 2 months from the earlier used things. Atarax 50 mg is definitely a sedative dose and for your problem even 10 mg twice a day should be enough to take care of the problem. If the problem is associated with sneezing or breathing distress, you may need to take the help of an allergy specialist.
