My question is for a psychologist. My daughter is 10 years old, lot many times she becomes obstinate and doesn't listen to me, she is just close to adolescence. How to react and to make her understand what is right what is wrong in a polite manner? As being a human nature, I lose temper and scold her. Thanx.

Having defiant behaviour early in adolescence is common. However that should not deter you from making her disciplined. Try to listen to her by giving a patient hearing. Children at this age demand independence and appreciation of their thoughts. Losing your temper on her only shows your inability to cope with her needs. If you find it difficult to communicate consult a child psychiatrist/ psychologist personally with your spouse for more details.
