My Dr. paediatrician has prescribed nebulizer for my 2 month old baby with duolin 3 ml thrice a day for cold and chest congestion. Any doctor moms have any knowledge because internet shows it's not suitable for children under 12. Worried.

Yes, you are absolutely right, it's should not be given till 3 to 6 months. Reasons: Mechanism of Actions: it relaxed bronchial muscles (small wind pipe muscles), but Infant's wind pipe are deficient in muscles, no benefits in Infants. Main problems in Infantile wind pipe during severe cold/cough is excessive secretions which might be treated with Hyoertonic Saline under Pediatric guidance
