I am suffering from dry throat and tonsils. I doubt that I have tonsil stones. How long does a tonsillitis last?

The tenure of tonsillitis depends on what type of tonsillitis it is. If it is of viral nature, it lasts usually from four to six days. Antibiotics become ineffective and it takes a little more time for recovery. If tonsillitis is of the bacterial nature, it can last up to 10 to 14 days.
