Baby needs space to grow and in tubal pregnancy, it cannot grow beyond 6-8 weeks, tube gets ruptured and it is an emergency to operate. If ultrasound confirms tubal pregnancy in an otherwise normal pregnant woman, there is no need to operate, there is medical treatment available, dead tissue gets washed off and tubes are spared for future pregnancies.
