Progesterone is naturally secreted by pregnancy to maintain it. As it is naturally secreted then there is no need to take progesterone. Progesterone tablets have become fashion and a source of income these days for the doctors. There is no need to take any medicines except folic acid in the first 3 months. It is not optional, it is not needed at all and this fact is based on the research done world wide on this issue.
