Can I take 4 anti rabies vaccine instead of 5? Is it effective as mentioned by who? Also what will be vaccination schedule in this case?

Yes. You can go for it. In this you have to take intradermal vaccine on 2 sites i.e. 2 injections per visit for 4 visits on day 0,3,7,28. It's less painful. In the 5 dose schedule which is intramuscular, you will have to take 1 injection per visit for 5 visits on day 0,3,7,14,28.

The modified regimen is 4 dose on --0,3,7, 14th days --is likely to induce adequate antibody response. Depending on type of exposure ,the attending doctor may take a decision on --which regimen --for the particular patient .----ok.
