I am a 25 years old female and had a coitus recently. It was very painful and I started bleeding. At first I thought it's normal but even progressing for the third time, it still bleeds. Moreover third time had more pain and blood coming out as compared to last two times. The blood is less viscous as compared to period blood. And I can still see some blood stains even after 24 hrs. I also have problems with my menstruation cycle, usually it delays. Maybe it's connected to periods?

Dear Lybrate user your problems are---1) painful coitus with bleeding and 2) menstrual cycle-- related problems--okmobile you have not given details like --whether you are newly married /you have kids/ the coitus which you mention is--as part of family life /or - extramarital etc - in newly married ones --such pain and little bleeding may occur for some time --- in a lady with kids --the chance of getting severe pain and bleeding during coitus is not common-- -in extramarital sex-- due to physical and mental factors like fear ;anxiety; threat etc------ lady may not have normal vaginal secretions produced during sexual arousal and normal mental prepairedness to get happiness of sex will not be there and sometimes the male partner also may not share love and affection and coitus just becomes an exercise leading to injuries and pain for both - -in your case - in the above background --if it was a coitus with mutual affection in a harmonious atmosphere and with the above excemptions --your problem of bleeding on coitus ----- requires-- a per vaginal exam by a gynaecologist-- to find out the lesions, if any, in your vagina or uterus ---which bleeds during coitus ; at that check-up-- your gynaecologist will find any lesions responsible for your menstrual problems also --- kindly go for a per vaginal examination by a gynaecologist soon.
