Dear madam, although you do all the right things to take care of your teeth and gums but the real question is and I hope that you are doing it right! bad odour or halitosis as we dentist know it is a multifactorial phenomenon! it can arise due to problems in teeth, or problems in gums or problem with your digestive system. Improper brushing although you might be doing it twice, thrice or any number of times will not help in effectively removing plaque from the teeth if it is not done the right way and as time goes by plaque turns into a hard mass called calculus! at this stage no amount of brushing can remove the calculus and it can only be removed by a professional oral scaling and prophylaxis procedure. I request you to see your dentist and allow him to evaluate the situation and he could suggest to you about what exactly the problem is and will also give you treatment options and advice on how you could effectively brush and take care of oral hygiene in a better way!
