My mother is 61 years old, having lymphatic filariasis in legs for more than 10 years. Form last 2 weeks she is facing lot of swelling in both the legs and having lot of pain and having issues while walking. Please suggest good doctor who can help?

Sir, .paracetamol can be given thrice daily for the pain. While you wait for a consultation, you may try these startegies 1. Using elastocrepe bandage or tailor made stockings while ambulant. 2. Keeping the limb elevated at night or while resting, after removing the bandage. 3. Regular exercising of the affected limb. 4. Regular light massage of the limb to stimulate the lymphatics and to promote flow of lymph towards larger patent vessels.(towards upper body)
