Hello respected doctors, my question is that on cdc website it is mentioned that now 4 doses of anti rabies vaccines given on days 0,3,7,14 are sufficient to protect against rabies for healthy individuals. Also on who site, it was mentioned that now pep includes 4 intra muscular doses of the vaccines on days 0,3,7 and one dose between 14-28 (4 doses essen regimen 1-1-1-1-0). Is this valid for vaccines available in india as well, like the chiron purified chick embryo vaccines or the vero cell cultures vaccines like verorab? It was given that for immunocompromised persons 5 doses are necessary still. Please advise.
