Hair is made up of minerals, proteins and iron .Hair fall can happen due to many reasons. It can be postpartum (After 3 months of delivery). Any acute illness like viral infections, malaria, typhoid can also cause it .It can happen in long term disorders like diabetes, high BP, arthritis .Medicines taken for all these disorders can also trigger the hair fall.
