Mr Srikanth, Blood sugar is controlled by Insulin a hormone secreted by Islets of Langerhans in pancreas. In diabetes this hormone is lacking in T2 and is totally absent in T1. So the treatment is to provide insulin either through oral drugs which increase insulin secretion and Insulin injection as replacement. In addition to drug treatment diet control and exercise are also equally important. All things together help in controlling blood sugar.
