I am 50yr old male. During my routine check, a polyp of 3mm was discovered in my gal bladder. Please advise if surgery to remove gb is unavoidable?

A polyp of less than 5 mm definitely does not require surgery. You should get an ultrasound done every 3 months to see if the polyp is becoming bigger.
