I had rct on a tooth many years ago. Suddenly the tooth broke few months back. For the past week I am experiencing mild sensation in not only at base of that tooth but in some other teeth as well. The sensation is usually non existent but starts a few hours after a meal. It subsides on mouthwashing with saline water. Please advise.

Hello since the tooth has already been root canal treated so it is less likely that sensitivity would be due to that tooth. But yes if you are feeling sensitivity around other teeth as well this is something related to your gums. You need to get a round of teeth cleaning done. Kindly visit your nearby dentist and get a proper examination done and for that particular tooth just get a capping done or if capping is not possible just see what the other treatment options are given to you. You can upload some photograph or x rays for a better clarity.

You need to get a x-ray first to detect the exact condition of the tooth. Once you got the x-ray send it to me then can guide you better. Because only a x-ray can tell us the exact picture of the tooth and the neighboring tooth at present. Meanwhile for sensation you can do Sensodyne Rapid relief or Vantej or Sanquel F toothpaste
