I am 35 years old man with well built athletic body. I jog for 3 kms per day followed by 100 indian push ups, 100 squats etc. I also practice martial arts and go for trek pretty often. I never get tired no matter how steep the trek maybe. But in spite of all this, 3 out of 4 BP readings are high (150/85 - 160/85). 1 in 4 readings is normal (120-130/80-85). I also have moderate LVH but all the stress tests have been negative. I want to keep my BP low without medication. Please suggest.

Salil it's rather unfortunate that inspite of such a healthy lifestyle you have high blood pressure. You can take the following steps: 1) Try meditation. Probably you need to tone down your sympathetic drive. Don't do kapalbhati...meditation for mind relaxation. 2) Get your ambulatory bllod pressure checked. That way we can know how much part of the day you have high BP. 3) Lastly you could start some high blood pressure medication. Better to have your BP under control you can prevent many long term complications.
