Dear doctor, I got cavity positive in june first week and got isolated for 15 days. Alhumdulillah got recovered from covid but one issue I faced was loss of taste and smell. Spice tolerance changed from 100 to 0 as I cannot eat spicy food now. I had good spice tolerance since childhood and usually ate spicy food. In these 4 months I have recovered 20-30% of my smell and 50% of my taste but still I cannot eat anything spicy at all. Not even little spicy. Please suggest something as its very difficult to live like this. I had lost 12 kgs in these 4 months due to stress and loss of appetite.

Hi .these all r post covid complications. Loss of taste is one of the main side effects but with time it gradually becomes normal. No need of any medication. Just follow a healthy life style and diet. Keep your oral hygiene good. Things will recover fast. Thank you
