I am 55 years old male suffering from thyroid from June 2015. I take thyrox-25 regular. How long the medicine is regularly take by me please Advice. Thanking you.

Mr Rajkishor, Treatment for hypothyroidism is for life time. This is a condition due to deficiency of thyroxine an important hormone secreted by thyroid. Therefore, there is a need for supplementation and that too for life time. Plus you have to keep checking TSH levels periodically to see if the dose of thyroxine is adequate or needs an increase.
