Ultrasound whole abdomenfindings: liver is normal in size (12.5 cm) and shows increased echogenicity. No evidence of intra hepatic biliary ductdilatation. Portal vein and cbd are normal. Gallbladder is partially distended. Visualized lumen appears echo-free. Pancreas is not visualized due to overlying bowel loops distended with gases. Spleen is normal in size (10.1 cm) and echotexture. Both kidneys are normal in size and echogenicity. Corticomedullary differentiation is maintained. No evidence of calculus or hydronephrosis. Right kidney measures 10.0 x 4.6 cm. Left kidney measures 10.0 x 4.8 cm. Echogenic focus of size 42 mm is seen in mid pole cortex. Urinary bladder is distended. Wall thickness is normal. No calculus is seen. Prostate is normal in size and echotexture. Volume 21 cc. No free fluid is seen in the abdomen. Impression:grade I fatty changes in the liver. Echogenic focus mid pole cortex of left kidney what should I infer from this? Kindly advise.
