I am having pain in my right hand elbow joint since last one month. Ortho says it is called tennis elbow with minor increase in uric acid. Even after taking medicines for tem days no improvement. But I observed that after doing walk & light exercise with hand/shoulder movement the pain has receeded. Should I continue doing exercise or should go for medication. Kindly adivse.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Tennis elbow is chronic inflammation around lateral epicondyle region of elbow. I advise my patients to take: 1) intensive ice packs for local application 2) intensive physical therapy under supervision of a physiotherapist 3) anti-inflammatory as per your body' s suitability 4) activity modification do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance or you do not get relief, then I will suggest you some other measures.
