Gap is normally developed due to bone loss & certainly not due to scaling. Teeth doesn't recover back on its own. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedures and fixed appliances or bridge to close the gap.

Gap is because the calculus was removed from there. Plz use an interdental brush to maintain the gap and keep it clean

Hello Lybrate user. The gap after scaling is due to removal of calculus deposits. The small gap will get covered by gingiva. But if the gap is somewhat more means, it won't be closed by gingiva. I advice you to maintain oral hygiene to avoid further discomforts and more calculus deposits which will lead to bone loss and gap formation after scaling. If the gap is more, then you can do composite restoration. But it is done for esthetic purpose, you can do in maxillary teeth alone. Consult me for further details. Thank you.
