I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. An injury to the eye, such as a scratched cornea, can cause the eye to swell and itch. It may feel as if there is something in the eye. If the injury becomes infected, there may be thick discharge. A blocked tear duct: this can cause sticky, thick eye mucus, and may be painful. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
