Hi ,i would want to ask about ,my dad who is 61 year old he has his coughing from a long time now, its something he is used to and its been normal ,for past two months it has increased more than usual .it happens mostly when he is talking and at night and its not dry ,he always has an hanky just to be clear he has taken covid vaccines both the doses ,he stays at home barely goes out and as much as I know covid symptoms will not last longer than a month right? Although he is having a little throat pain past three days which is slowly going away as he is gargling ,i don't know the cough is related to this or maybe this is just a normal one ,he has no problem in swallowing food he has no fever no other problem ,oxygen normal so we think its not (co) and also he has no history of smoking and stuff so what is it then he has taken cup syrups ascoril ls 10 ml but not seeing that much of an result maybe very slight so he taking vapor gargling so what do you think this is and if this is normal cough then can you please suggest home medications ?or is it really something to worry? And can he take azithromycin will that be helpful?
