Mr Ritesh, In T2 DM foot care is very vital. High blood glucose affect circulation to the lower limbs and leads to neuropathic problems, which in turn cause cold feet, loss of sensation and injury to the fot may go unnoticed. Hence primary requirement is to have excellent blood glucose control. If feet feel cold, use socks at home all the while. Do not walk bare foot at home or outside. Use well fitting footwear, do not use high heels, ill fitting shoes, pointed shoes. Watch your feet daily, clean them dry including in the web space, use pumice stone to remove rough portions, do not cut callouses, wash foot every day and dry completely. Avoid sitting cross legged,as it blocks circulation. Basically take a good care of your feet.
