Is your anxiety limited to eating only or it increases at that time. This is not clear. However keeping your environment and mind free from stress and focusing your attention on the activity of eating can help you to contain anxiety. Eat and chew your food well, enjoying each bite and the taste, feel, smell and texture of the food. Chew slowly and feel the aroma of the food I your nose and then going down your throat. Notice how the texture of the food changes as you chew it well. This kind of focussed activity is called mindful eating and can really help you to reduce your anxiety. This kind of slowing down and immersing yourself to enjoy each moment will help you to focus in the present and stop the mind from wondering in the past and future. Besides this, I suggest that you take counselling sessions to destress and reduce anxiety and learn how to manage it better or cope with whatever your problems are more effectively, without feeling overwhelmed.
