It?s known to all that 8-9 hrs. Of sleep are required for an adult. However, because of various reasons, there are many people taking less sleep. Even some of them are able to manage with short nap sometimes. Some doctors also take less sleep. Sometimes I try to practice less sleep step by step but failed. Whenever I try to minimize the sleeping time, I face uneasiness and drowsiness whole day and forced to take tea-coffee multiple times. Please discuss and guide me.

No you r wrong. 8-9 hours sleep us too much for an adult. 5-7 hours is ok. It;s very subjective n varies from person to person n also in sane person from time to time. There is no rule for how much time you should sleep. If you feel ok with 5 hours sleep, then 5 hours is sufficient for you.
