Dear lybrate-user, plaque build up and calulus deposits is the most common cause of bad breath/halitosis. If such is the case you need to get cleaning of teeth/oral prophylaxis done in a dental clinic. After that you have to do regular oral hygiene maintenance. Brush after every meal and use mouthwashes to prevent bad breath.
