Chicken pox is caused by varicella zoster virus which spreads by direct contact with the blister, saliva, mucus of infected person and sharing food and drink. It also spreads through the coughig and sneezing of infected person Symptoms of Chicken Pox 1.Fever, headache,Sore throat 2.Multiple red,itchy skin rashesOver scalp, face ,abdomen, back and extremities appearing in crops and forming blisters and subsequent crust Treatment 1. Remain confined to a separate room since it is infectious 2.Take paracetamol 500mg, one tablet sos upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food if there is fever 2.Apply Calamine lotion/Dermocalm if there is itching 3.Take good nourishing diet and drink plenty of water 3. Chicken Pox takes 2 week time for complete recovery,so take rest 4. Consult doctor if there are any symptoms
