Due to liver cirrhosis caused by excess alcohol and tablets, it has led to ascites. Alcohol is completely stopped. The abdomen is bulged and there is complete loss of appetite. He is taking diuretic tablets and liveril. He is suffering from this from 2 weeks. When can he return back to his normal health. When does the water retention completely stops. Can this be cured. Are tablets(diuretics) need to be taken throughout life.Please suggest.
