Sir before 8 to 10 months I have taken tetanus injection for a cut by a nail. It was minor. Now today I get small minor injury by a rod like object. It is necessary to take injection again. Actually how long tetanus vaccine effective. Please reply.

Tetanus vaccine will be effective for 10 years. If your wound is minor or uncontaminated, if you have taken booster within past 10 years then re-vaccination is not required now. Still if you want you can take. There are no major adverse effects with tt.
